Defender: James Lott
Has played all his football at Porthcawl from under eights, had a few seasons off to play rugby. Junior product. Lotty is very committed, prepared to give his all in every performance, quick to cover any amount of distance, strong in the tackle and on the ball. Can also deliver good ball into the danger area. Mad for it.
Defender: Ian McIntosh
Mac is starting his second season with the club after playing the final part of last year. He previously represented Minsterworth AFC (Gloucester), Nelson Cavaliers and Glamorgan Uni 1st XI. Mac is a centre half with great vision and technique, strong in the air and very competent on the deck. Mac has shown a very good attitude towards training which is replicated on match days.
Defender: Jonathan Robbins
Junior Product. Jon broke into the first team squad last season. Good in the air, strong in the tackle, reads the game well and has shown he is capable of playing at this standard of football. Pubs has worked hard pre-season, has a great attitude. I'm sure if he can control his huge enthusiasm he has for the game he will be a regular in the squad.
Defender: Mark Evans
New signing joined the club this season from Maesteg Park. Former Swansea U19 also played pro-league in Canada, Welsh U18 Cap v Scotland. Parky (as the lads the call him) is good in the air likes to play football when possible and has a wide range of passes. I’m sure if Mark can keep his Kreuff turns to the training ground he will be an asset to the clubs future.
Midfield: Emrys Haugen
This is Emrys' fifth season with the club and yet again he has shown great commitment to the cause. 'M' is a creative centre midfield player who can also play centre back if called upon. He has a great 1st touch, and most importantly a good attitude to both training and match days. M has shown continual development over the last 4 seasons and has turned into a class player and person off the pitch.
Midfield: Jonathan O'Sullivan
Jono is a new recruit signed from Senior league side Nelson Cavaliers. He is a tenacious, hard working centre midfielder with excellent vision who has represented the Glamorgan Uni 1st XI and Welsh National college side. Jono has quickly settled into the side and has gained the respect of everyone in the Club not only for his talent but also for the way he gives 100% every time he wears the Club shirt..
Midfield: Steven Atkinson
Has been with the club from junior level, was capped for County and Wales at under fourteen level. Steve is an exceptional talent, everything a player could wish for, shown great loyalty to the club. Last seasons player of the year. Over the years put some very important performances in at the end of the season.
Midfield: Shazard Khaliq
Has played most of his football at Porthcawl. Great enthusiasm for the game. Hard but fair in the tackle and has been known to pop in a few goals.
Midfield: Gareth Griffiths
Junior product. Grif is now a regular in the squad and is improving each season, turning into a real quality player. The rash has a great attitude, fully committed, hard but fair in the tackle, great engine and has some silky skills to back it up. Has also been known to pop in the odd goal or two. With players like Griff the future looks very good.
Midfield: Daniel Harris
Junior product, has played for all junior sides, youth team and all senior sides, has shown that he has all the qualities you need to play this standard. Dan left us in October he will be a great asset to the clubs future.
Striker: Gareth Duffy
Junior product. Duff played very few games last season for the club but its great to see him back this season. Has been working hard in training. A very competitive player, quick over twenty yards, and hopefully has his scoring boots back for this season.
Forward: Nick Murphy
Nick has signed for us this season from Treharris Athletic. Has shown good commitment pre-season and looks the part on the field. Nick can operate out wide and as a front man and has a keen eye for goal and pace to burn showing us in pre season that he can finishing given the chance. Hopefully Nick can settle in quick and prove himself at Porthcawl.
Forward: Lee Williams
Lee is a recent addition to the Porthcawl squad signing in Jan 09’. After a number of seasons in the Senior League with Cwm Welfare Lee has decided to step up to the Welsh League and we are delighted to have him. He is a central midfielder who can also operate up top if required. Lee has an excellent touch, great vision and is a wonderful passer of the ball. Im sure he will play an important role for Porthcawl this year.
Forward: Jon Tossell
New signing Jon has joined us from Kenfig Hill where he was player manager and took them back into the 1st division of the SWAL. Toss has the nack of being in the right place at the right time which is a great gift to have for any proven goal scorer. I’m sure if can stay injury free he will be well into double fingers at the half way stage of the season.
Forward: Branden Walters
New signing renowned goal scorer, played for Ton Pentre, Bridgend and Brintirion. Great first touch and a nose for where the net is.
Forward: Dale Smith
Has come back to the club after 9 years with a nasty injury that kept him playing in the lower leagues for Kenfig Hill and Cornelly.
